The night brought The Plaza back to life through a whole host of brilliant performances, talks and viewings exploring the storied life of The Plaza. Originally built as part of Leeds Grand Theatre it became a cinema in the early 20th century and became nicknamed ‘The Plaza’ in the late fifties. With a programme of art films and B movies, it would show a more ‘alternative’ side of cinema.
