The Hare of Harehills is a public sculpture celebrating the people and history of Harehills and its neighbouring areas.

The ‘Hare’ is playful and colorful and is decorated with iconography taken from local history, heritage and contemporary culture. The sculpture was designed following public consultation with local communities. It aims to celebrate the people of Harehills and beyond by providing a positive centerpiece at the Compton Centre for the community to enjoy.
