Propose a workshop, exhibition or residency at Patrick Studios and Convention House, developed with the ESA team.
We’re opening up our spaces at Patrick Studios and Convention House for artists, groups and organisations to develop and realise projects with us. That could be public workshops, an exhibition or a residency, shaped as a collaborative process with the team.
You don’t need to have worked with us before, and your idea can be at any stage.
What we can offer
We have a range of spaces across Patrick Studios and Convention House, and what works best depends on your project. Tell us what you might need, such as the kind of space, how long you’d need it, and any equipment or set up, and we’ll look at what fits.
You can see some of our spaces in use in this folder of images.
This isn’t a paid opportunity. Where we can, we may also offer practical support like installation, project development, documentation or design, so tell us in your proposal what would help.
How it works
Use the form to tell us what you’d like to do and who it’s for, whether that’s a small group or a public audience. Let us know how long you’d need a space and whether that’s on one occasion or several. You don’t need a fixed date, but do flag one if you have it.
We review proposals on an ongoing basis, roughly every two months. Selected projects become part of East Street Arts’ programme. This is for time-limited projects rather than ongoing use of space, with a preference (but not limitation) to collaborative, collective groups or organisations.
Prefer not to write it down?
You’re welcome to answer by voice note, video or in conversation instead. Get in touch at hello@esamail.org.uk. If you don’t know the buildings yet, we’re happy to show you around before you apply.
Access
Our spaces generally have accessible toilets and lifts. What works can depend on what you’re proposing, so let us know about anything specific.
