I am a finance professional providing advice in relation to the transfer of ownership of businesses. Key to this is the assessment of the commercial strengths and weaknesses of an organisation as manifested in the financial performance. As the Treasurer of East Street Arts, I help to promote strong financial governance and an understanding of the financial outcomes of the organisation’s charitable activities.
My day-to-day professional life has had little overlap with the arts and culture sectors and I was keen to broaden my own horizons. I’m also interested in the financial stability of the arts sector and the ability of organisations to be commercially self-sufficient.
