Melody Walker (she/her) is our Business Development Lead
I am responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to generate income for the organisation through a range of grant-making and donor sources. I support the directors with the strategic business planning process for the organisation.
My foray into the arts is like most in the sector. We started out exploring an artform and in my case creative writing and ended on the administrative and management side. Fundraising definitely makes good use of my writing skills and, also my creativity especially in developing a fundraising campaign. The most challenging aspect of my role is exploring with an organisation a sustainable fundraising and income-generation model that is adaptive to their culture, mission and values.
