Jon Wakeman (he/him) is our Co-Founder and Artistic Director
I am one of the co-founders of East Street Arts, so over the course of my time here I have done almost every job. Today, you can usually find me wrangling with artists, funders and staff, all in a good way, as we strive to get the next (amazing) project off the ground.
I have always thought our role in leading East Street Arts has been to find the gaps within society where artists can make and experiment without compromise, within a supportive environment. From this, they can engage more fully to create… well, who knows what they will create!?
