We’re working in partnership with Leeds West Indian Carnival and Leeds City Council to commission a mural reflecting the Carnival.
The mural – part of our ongoing A City Less Grey programme – will explore themes around the memories and heritage of Caribbean carnival in Leeds and celebrate the value of community and a sense of belonging, contributing to a growing portfolio of street art across the city that celebrates our vibrancy.
A lead artist will be commissioned to design and complete the mural – find out more about the call-out, including the brief and application process.
Once completed, a public event to unveil the mural will celebrate the artist’s work and the longevity of Leeds West Indian Carnival.
A special thank you, and recognition, extends to the partners, funders, sponsors and supporters of the project.
