The Penthouse is an artist-led space that we worked with as part of our Guild programme from 2018 to 2023.

The Penthouse, established in Manchester in 2012, is an artist-led, queer contemporary art organisation.

Their curatorial and research projects are focused on queer art, dyke tactics, radical practices, gender queer identity and raw art – exploring power at the margins.

They have explored these ideas via residences, workshops, talks and actions including curatorship of Bill Drummond’s Curfew Tower, Noise Above Noise sound art series, Might & Main residency and symposium.

The Penthouse is part of our Guild cohort.
