We've welcomed Silvia Liebig to Leeds on residencies, since 2010, including at Artist House 45. She also designed a room for our first Art Hostel.
Visual artist Silvia Liebig was born in 1966 and studied at Fachhochshule Für Design in Dortmund. She has been working on exhibitions and transmedia projects in Germany and abroad since 1992. She is a member of the Association of Dusseldorf Artists.
Silvia’s And What Planet Are You From? installation for the first Art Hostel on Kirkgate, Leeds explored the concept of home and our memories of it through wallpaper, sound and postcard boxes. Visitors could hear stories from people sharing their sensory impressions and memories as they tried to find their own special “planet” on the wallpaper map.
