Tom Poultney (he/him) is Head of HE Creative Arts and the University Centre Leeds, Leeds City College
I manage degrees across a range of subjects in the arts, including visual arts, performing arts, and media. We focus on widening participation in the creative arts and culture in Leeds and on supporting graduates in developing the skills to enter the creative industries in Leeds and Yorkshire.
I am an artist and have been working in Leeds since I came here to study 20 years ago. During this time, I have worked with East Street Arts both as an artist and an educator. They have supported both me and my students in developing our artistic practices in the city. East Street Arts provides a vital function for art and artists in Leeds, and I am pleased to support their work through my role as a trustee.
