Seven former retail units are available across The Potteries Centre in Hanley, offering a range of spaces for creative and cultural use within one of the region’s main shopping destinations.
The units vary considerably in size, finish, and character. Smaller units on the upper mall range from 98m² to 269m², with glazed frontage onto the shopping centre walkways, suspended ceilings, and artificial lighting. Larger units on the ground floor include a 447m² space and a 922m² multi-level unit with escalators and exposed ceiling. Unit 128 includes a mezzanine level. None of the units have natural light. Unit 6 within The Hive, the centre’s external-facing leisure quarter, currently has no electrical supply and is suitable for storage or passive display only.
We are not currently seeking individual studio holders for this site. Instead, we are inviting expressions of interest from arts organisations, collectives, and practitioners with experience managing creative spaces. Applications are welcome from those interested in occupying a single unit as well as those open to shared or multi-occupancy models.
The space is suitable for most creative practices, excluding those involving hot works, aerosols, or noise and music.
