A three-hour sketchbook workshop led by Tafsia Dana at Patrick Studios Project Space, East Street Arts, Leeds.

Join Tafsia Dana on 25 July for a three-hour session dedicated to sketchbook experimentation at Patrick Studios Project Space. This is a friendly, relaxed space to explore colour, try new things and discover creative ways to spark inspiration.

Through a series of simple exercises, you will discover different ways to generate ideas and fill your sketchbook with creative experiments. Feel free to bring along photographs, objects, memories or anything else that inspires you. You are also welcome to bring interesting materials such as leaves, sticky notes, packaging, book pages, tickets or other collage items. Together you will explore drawing, mark-making and mixed-media collage to create expressive and personal sketchbook pages.

In the second half of the session, the focus shifts to colour. Using an image of your choice, you will create a drawing with a limited palette and then introduce one unexpected colour to create contrast. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced artists. Basic materials are provided, and tickets are £15 per person.
