Matt Collins (he/him) is our Convention House Technician
I work with artists to realise their ideas using the equipment at Convention House through skill sharing and engagement with technology. In collaboration with other staff members, I help to shape the vision for Convention House as a hub for art, technology, sustainability and community. I also support the team with building and systems infrastructure.
Seeing people journey from what can seem daunting and impossible through to empowerment and knowledge is very rewarding, and problem-solving is the best way to produce an authentic representation of their creative intentions. My own practice as an artist and creative technologist revolves around light, sound, interaction, electronics and software.
