Ever wanted to develop work using Risograph Printers?
Risograph printing is known for its vibrant and unique aesthetic, due to the layering of inks and its affordability – all of which makes it a favourite among designers and print artists. This educational, one-to-one workshop is designed to help you be able to use the machines efficiently, get to know the space, and start printing independently.
One to One: Risograph Printing Basics is £30 per person for the one-hour session.
During the one-to-one session, we will introduce you to our space and teach you the basics of riso printing. You will learn how to load and replace consumables, create masters, align colours and troubleshoot common problems. Once you have undertaken this session, you will then be able to book time out to use the room and printers independently.
Access is then charged at £5, with consumables at £1 per master and 5p per impression. These costs are subject to an additional 20% VAT charge.
Risograph Printing is a Japanese printing process that combines the look and feel of screen printing with the speed and ease of photocopying. Riso prints one colour at a time, resulting in rich overlays, bold hues, and unique textures. It’s also one of the most sustainable forms of print, using plant-based, rice-bran inks – a byproduct of the Japanese farming industry.
