Common-all Games | Comm(o)nist Gallery
From 26th to 30th June 2012 East Street Arts is delighted to be supporting the ground breaking Comm(o)nist Gallery TV and our collaborative project Common-all Games in the Leeds Art Bistro (LAB), Leeds City Centre.
The Common-all Games are an ambitious project that builds on the successes of CGTV as an alternative platform of artistic practice and debate. The Comm(o)nist Gallery TV booths are placed in public spaces, acting as a node, to attract focused discussions amongst a new public, as well as providing a temporary space of artistic exchange.
We welcome artists Charlie Fox, Andrew Cooper, Anne Robinson and Jon Trayner linking a project that started as a pop up gallery with an ongoing exploration for East Street Arts on creative uses for temporary spaces. This event will encourage collective working and will explore the assumptions and histories of large scale cultural events.
We invite you to come and take part in a new exciting collective film-making experience, in a series of workshops to learn about making pictures move, with: animation, scratch film, sound, performance, editing and effects. The films will be shown at special screenings in various venues.
How to take part:

The Comm(o)nist Gallery starts with an Open Call to regional artists to:
