Anna Turner graduated from Leeds College of Art with a degree in Fine Art in the summer of 2013 and now combines work within the marketing industry with her fine art practice.
Her previous training as a typographer regularly informs her work, often leading to a meticulous finish. But by using mediums such as latex, wax and plaster, particularly when in 3D, has allowed her to achieve more expressive results.
Previously themes she has explored have included seams, connections, and discord with repetition often being used. A variety of materials including wax, latex, feather, bone, lead, concrete and plaster are regularly used. At present she holds a studio at Progress House in Farsley as part of East Street Arts temporary spaces programme.
