Leeds Gallery & Cafe 164 Opening
A new art gallery is set to open in Leeds in September and a cafe with a difference next door to it in August
Ellie Halls Schiadas and Matt Andrews will be opening the Leeds Gallery on the 14th of September with an exhibition celebrating the beautiful photography work of Terry O’Neill.

Sara Teresa and Ellie Halls Schiadas are both studio holders at East Street Arts’ Patrick Studios. Sara Teresa will be working with Ellie Halls Schiadas managing the cafe attached to the Leeds Gallery, Cafe 164. Sara will be curating art for the cafe side and also helping with the management of the gallery itself. The gallery will be modern and commercial, with varying exhibitors, but as far as the cafe goes, Sara will be sourcing mostly local artists to exhibit.
There will also be lots of other events going on at the gallery. The well established, Leeds Life Drawing will be moving there permanently, and the Leeds Gallery is also looking to provide an even wider range of events, which will be confirmed during the coming weeks.
This is an exciting step for the arts in Leeds and both Cafe 164 and the Leeds Gallery itself are certainly worth a visit.
